1. Hp G60 Laptop

Hello, I was doing a 'Factory Recovery' for my HP G60-125NR laptop and, during the process, it left me a black screen with the words 'missing Bootmngr Ctrl+Alt+Esc' after it rebooted itself. I don't have a copy of Windows Vista on a disk. My laptop came with it pre-installed with no disk.

I did make 'recovery disk' but after doing a recovery, all it told me that an error 1002 came up after the second disk. I also got an error 1005 using the partition. So I purchased a Boot disk, but when it got me to the System Recovery Options there was NO operating systems to click to. No Microsoft Windows Vista 32 bit to recover from. It asked me to load drivers, but I don't know which and where. Is there any way to fix this? Does Microsoft have any more Vista disk to send.

Startup Repair cannot be repair my computer automatically it says. It still says 'MissingBootManager.' I hope you can help me. Again, NO WINDOWS VISTA DISK. I wish there was. All I have is my recovery disk, bootdisk, and a copy of recovery and backup.

Hi, Check with HP Support, their on-line documentation, diagnostics, and ask in the HP forums. HP Support & Drivers Contact HP HP Forums - This is serious error and 'may' not be repairable without professional tech support from a real computer shop (not leeks and peeks at a BestBuy or other BigBox Stores) or your System maker's Support. Here are the troubleshooting methods to try to fix the issue: Bootmgr is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart Error message when starting Windows Try Startup Repair - (If at ANY point you gain some but not full access to Windows come back and try Startup Repair again.) Very often StartUp Repair has to be run TWO or more times.

This tells you how to access the System Recovery Options and/or use a Vista Disk Try StartUp Repair from Recovery Options or Vista disk.

Hi I have a HP G60 laptop running windows 7 which has been working great for years now. I had an issue with it a few days back (black screen white cursor in top right and unresponsive) so I thought I would do a system recovery. I used the recovery disk the computer prompted me to make when I first got it. Put in disk 1 and all was well but when I put in disk 2 the drive keeps opening and asking for disk 2.

I have never used these disks since they were made so I guess it could be a disk issue. Is there a way I can get new recovery disks or even a download to usb stick? Has anyone else had this problem?
