Just glanced at this (but it seems terribly outdated and filled with irrelevant iformation Could anyone provide a list of the crusaders that are still meta for each slot? I'll proide a list based on my experience, but I didn't spend much time thinkign about it and I don't combine crusaders very effectively. I have 88 crusaders, but around half of them have quite weak gear.
Slot 1: I don't really use it slot 2: Jim? Slot 3: Turps for the initial levels then nobody? Slot 4: Mindy for the initial stges, then sasha or groklok slot 5: none slot 6: Zombie slot 7: robo turkey? (i dont have the gear to use it slot 8: billy slot 9: broot slot 10: artaxes? Slot 11: brogon slot 12: none? Slot 13: sjin (mostly for the initialphase?) slot 14: robo santa slot 15: penny for the initial phase slot 16: none slot 17: queen siri slot 18: cindy slot 19: none slot 20: milgrid slot 21: I dont have good gear for them slot 22: same slot 23: same slot 24: empty for me slot 25: Chiyome!!!! BW is EXTREMELY underrated, having him L6/L6/L1 when triple buffing while my dps is currently e288, my crit click is e295 (so more than e296 sec) Slis, man. And they all have identical bonuses (roughly 100% per level, in longer run) though not starting from the same point.
So, one may be better than other, but two are always better than one. If you click it's about pure dps, so, Merci is like last option to use. I never tried it. Leerion for gold is good in gold-starved objectives with a royal formation:) 15- Penny is also a great buffer for Chi, other option is Sal when you are not capping Val could work for Draco formations 17- Regi for royal formation Probably Boggins for Frosty formation and Siri for Chi/PoT formation? 18- TES but maybe LF LF for most of the run, ES at the end would be best for long runs:) 20- Milg always Nate as buffer or Kiz/Rudy as DPS in Slow Descent and its clones One thing you seem not to have noted is that the robot team (Momma, RT, FOT) works for RQ too:P.
Ok here is another list, this time I will sort crusaders from most to less used. Crusaders that are not mentioned arent worth having in any formation in the current gameplay. Maybe it's just because of the legendaries I do and don't have, but she's one of my best buffers, giving +731500%. 18slot: LF(buff) / TES(buff) / Frosty(DPS) Thalia(tank) / Cindy(buff) Again, maybe it's just down to legendaries, but as far as I'm concerned Thalia is the real buffer, giving 3460% per Storm Rider, whereas TES just gives 105% (both figures without Magnify). I run Thalia until about 30 levels short of my cap in order to use Storm Rider every hour, and swap in TES for the finish. I'm also one to keep Thalia in to use Storm Rider, because I don't have too many problems doing the objectives I'm working on, but for the sake of this discussion, namely being optimal, the right use for slot 18 would be to swap Thalia in whenever Storm Rider cooled down and then put LF or TES back in I suppose?
What I am a bit confused about is slot 14 14slot: Leerion / Panda / Katie Santa What about the Goldhound? Where I stand with epics/legendaries Panda (LLR) gives me 125% gold from ability and 50% from item, so roughly (depending on if how they caluclate) 175% (or more if the boni are applied on after the other instead of added and then applied). The goldhound, with RUL gives me 25% from items, 20% flat from ability (so 45%) and for the first 15 seconds 300% (345%). And while the 15 seconds run out, gold nose starts accumulating, giving up to 450 on long stages (20 enemies killed) (495 assuming that when you reached that point, the 15 seconds are over) - which to me seems a lot better then the Panda. Ok Grandmora can be decent buffer, but the fact is she gets outprerformed by other similar buffers, who have also human tag (instead of useless alien tag), which gives a higher buff in human DPS formation: like Sjin, Billy, Casey, Agent 79. And also Khouri, who has very similar 2 legendary effects as Grandmora, but again human tag and also magical tag - perfect pair with Eiralon and also SQ. The only debate here is if Grandmora is playable at all.
And I didnt mentioned her, cuz its higly more likely you get better gear on other crusaders 1st - for Khouri and Agent you can get gear in JC and others are speeders, so you probably gear them up as soon as you get their recepies. And its a much more wiser to level up their legendary gear 1st and also use them instead of Grandmora. Anyway, but if you somehow dont have good gear on any of those saders and your Grandmora is all legendary, then i guess she is playable. I didnt mention Thalia for Storm Rider, cuz then i should also mention somebody with Magnify ability to be super important buffer. Am I missing something? You are missing something. That gear where you have R on Panda is the most important. Gold legs on slot 14. Slot 14 depends on the formation/objective, I think. Leerion is the best, with a lot of females in my formation.
Santa might be better with more robots, but depends also on the form. Panda has the least strings attached. Only objectives, where your formation is under attack most of the time, aren't good for her.
But since gold is almost irrelevant at that point, where you might have all these crusaders at L gear, the discussion about this slot is also pretty irrelevant.
