So glad to say I've finally saved enough to purchase a legit version after using a cracked one for over a year. From my experience I've learned it's way worth the money, they've earned it. Glad to give it to them. My question, should I replace my cracked software with a freshly downloaded legit version? Or can I just authorize the one I have with my serial number? I was hoping I could do the latter, and it does seems to be halfway working.
The only problems I'm running into are it doesn't seem to be updating from 9.1. AND i need to authorize it every time I open it up. Which means I can't work on anything off line. Anything else I should be aware of making the switch? Congrats on the 'upgrade'! I am with you, I used a cracked version for nearly a year and when I was able to I purchased a Push and 9 Suite.
I too found the software to be worth my hard earned money. My suggestion would be a full clean install of your entire PC. You just can't know how the 'crew' accomplished the crack which may have included patching files that may be in use by software outside of Live. It was a good feeling to have everything back in its right place once I took the time out to reinstall and little glitchy things that used to make me wonder went away.
I don't condone piracy (although I did pirate, yeah I know: hypocrisy) but it's a testament to Live's functionality and worth that so many people are willing to buy after they've 'tried'.
